An evil queen, a lost prince, a cursed princess, a centaur, trolls, giants, flying machines, and even a tooth fairy - you'll find all of them in this mixed up adventure fantasy romance by Jean Ferris.

If you love words this is the book for you. It is full of difficult to pronounce words, and I had to read the book with a dictionary by my side at all times. This one definitelly helps expand your vocabulary with a lot of uncommon beautiful words and strange sayings, proverbs, and troll wisdom.
"Nobody ever gets enough appreciation when they're behaving themselves, but there's no end to hearing about it when they're not."
A modern fairytale
In this modern fairytale the princess is not afraid to say no to her suitors, and stand up to her evil mother. She decides that she doesn't need to get married in order to be happy and be a good queen. And she definitelly doesn't need to marry a prince.
However, it is a bit disapointing that everything turns perfect at the end, and very much as expected. No surprises in this fairytale. The good wins agains the evil. Marigold's beloved turns out to be a prince after all, with his own kingdom, soon to be a king. She magically saves him from certain death. They luckily get rid of the evil queen, who is not even Marigold's real mother. And the troll finaly marries the love of his life, after he proves to her father that he has a profitable business and is related to royalty.
"Start now. Be better now. If you could have done better before, you would have. But now that you have your act on the ball, you can do better. So start now."
Finally, this book will apeal to all dog lovers. Both the prince and the princess, and her sisters are dog lovers. Dogs are not far from every event that hapens in the book, and they eventually help everyone.
