Savvy

A story about growing up, relationships and family, with a superhero twist.

Beaumont is an ordinary family with extraordinary powers. On their thirtheeth birthday they get a savvy, a super power, that makes them different than everyone else. They have to learn to scumble their powers, control them and hide them from others. However, that is not an easy task, and it might take years.

"When something like that comes along, whether it's an accident or a savvy or a very first kiss, life takes a turn and you can't step back. All you can do is keep moving forward and remember what you've learned."

Mibs, her two brothers and two friends sneaked on a delivery bus with the idea to get to the hospital and see Mib's injured father. But when the bus takes a turn in an oposite direction they are headed for an adventure, before they get to the hospital several days later. During this adventure they discover true love, true friendship and they grow up together.

"You never can tell when a bad thing might make a good thing happen."

The kids also learn responsibility and accepting people the way they are, finding the best in them. They also learn to accept themselves as they are, and to trust their abilities and use them in the best possible way.

"You can't get rid of parts of what makes you you and be happy."

The book ends with a glimps of Samson's thirtheen birthday and his newly discovered two-part savvy. It cannot get more interesting than that.
