I was captivated by this story from the first word.

After loosing his mother Alfie feels alone. Everyone else grows up, grows old and leaves. Alfie doesn't want to live forever any more, alone. The only way to reverse the magic is to use a second lifepearl. But how to find one. Alfie's best friends help him in his quest.

The book is writen from two points of view which are intertwined throughout out the book. We get to know the whole story from both Alfie and Aidan. Alfie most often talks about the past and Aiden tells the present. This makes the whole reading experience very interestiong and although it is a long read I was able to finish the book in just a few days.
